BioArmed with a Lonely Planet guide, a heavy bagpack and almost 5 months at my disposal, I am ready to jump on that bus and head off to the Andean mountains and the Equadorian jungle.
I will arrive in Lima, Peru on the 12th of april together with Rasmus. First we will head south along the coast, then set off to lake Titicaca, which is on the border of Bolivia. Here, we will hang out in La Paz before heading down south to the Salt Planes. After staying in Bolivia, we'll go back to Peru, this time heading for Cuzco, which is the bee's nest for tourists, because it once was the melting pot for the Inkas. When the last salesman has been shaken off, we'll head up to Equador where our primary goal is to visit Hambik Huasi, which is an indiginous community concerned with preserving ancient knowledge on healing plants and practices. Our plane home is scheduled for august the 20th.
